Let’s be honest for a sec. In our heart of hearts, we all want our kids to grow into happy professionals, living in a comfortable home with 2.5 children and a timeshare at Disney World. It’s the American dream.

While my young boys are currently dreaming of growing up to be Minions, I am hoping they will settle for careers as physicians working for Doctors Without Borders...but I don't want to be too particular.

Doctors or not, my biggest dream for my children may (or may not) be different than those of other parents. For my children, I honestly dream of only two things. First, I dream they'll be kind to all people. Second, I want my kids to just do their best, whatever they're doing -- even if it's not something that will impress other people.

I feel if you can accomplish these two things, you will have no regrets in life. Do right by the universe and it will do right by you.

For our family, as fourth (and fifth) generation farmers we have held true to kindness and hard work. And as farmers, we also know that our ability to work is fueled first by what we put into our bodies.

When we aren’t growing our own food I look to foods that are comparable in quality and, if at all possible, from companies whose values align with ours. This is particularly true of dairy products, as we are dairy farmers...and pretty much dairy experts.

Lucky for me, there is a product that I consider even better than fresh-off-the-farm. Stonyfield YoBaby Organic Yogurt is organic (duh), non-GMO, and free of any pesticides or artificial flavors. Sweetening the deal, Stonyfield also adds a probiotic called Bifidobacterium animalis lactis BB-12®*. This is helpful for us because this particular bacterium makes dairy more easily digestible, a life-saver for my lactose-sensitive babes.

And, it's totally delicious.

The bottom line is this: whatever dreams we may have for our children, the best thing we can do for them here and now is provide the building blocks of a healthy, bright future and big dreams. And that starts with what we give them to eat, so whatever journey they do end up choosing, they own it with healthy minds and bodies.

If we parents can accomplish this, we can be confident knowing we've done the very best we can for our children. But maybe you want to give your baby an extra head start? Now you can enter for a chance to win $10,000 you can use for your child's college education through Stonyfield's Tiny Tummies, Big Dreams sweepstakes. Simply share a photo of your baby along with a short caption here between the dates August 21 and September 19th. No purchase necessary! The winner will be announced October 3rd on Stonyfield's Facebook and Instagram pages.
